I'm 67 and retired. Since I started this blog, I have had a brush with the Big C. For the first time, I wondered whether spending a lot of time reading was perhaps a little bit unhealthy. I aimed to get out more, and, before lockdown, volunteered at two local historical properties. My profile picture shows part of Lacock Abbey - a place founded by nuns where women could read, study, and be safe.
